Now, more than ever, children need all the adults in their lives to work together and support their reading development.

We leverage existing in-school and out-of-school structures and curricular resources to build children’s reading skills.

IIG and Abound harness the power of untapped, caring adults, to give children even more high-quality opportunities to learn. We use a research-based tool and embedded support to inspire rich back-and-forth conversations that promote deep thinking and curiosity about academic words, language, and ideas – and connect kids to the adults who care about them.

Our solution is simple and affordable. Our approach reaches families, paraprofessionals, classroom volunteers, as well as after-school and summer staff.

We create playful rigor in existing classroom time, as well as during after-school and summer programs. Our comprehensive approach provides:

• Mobile app access for all families and staff (iOS and Android, English and Spanish)

  • Daily theme-based content to inspire two conversations per day and two suggested theme-based books to read together per week. 

  • Benchmark check-In to clarify key skills children need to learn from age 3 to grade 3. 

• Strong implementation by experienced coaches ensures a successful rollout

  • Initial training & needs assessment with school leaders.

  • Training on the science of reading and use of Abound app for teachers, staff, and families. 

  • Ongoing virtual and in-person support to school staff each month.

• Maximizing out-of-school time and the utilization of paraprofessionals to accelerate student reading

• Creating rich and joyful summer literacy experiences for children
